Its been two week since this last post and I'm excited to say that there has been HUGE noticeable improvement with Lily and her speech! I'm really blown away at how much she has picked up just in these two weeks.
Lily is now...
Counting to three!
Using more 2 and three word phrases more often, along with using new combinations.
Repeating more odd words from Jason and I
Her words are more pronounced and said correctly.
Understanding simple one or two direction requests..i.e. "go get a spoon, get your shoes, go in your room and find your sippy"
I know it dosent seem like a lot, but in our world it is....I'm so proud of her and really excited that she is doing so well with school.
Me? oh gosh....the whole dropping off thing, I don't think I'll ever get used to it. It is still just as hard as the frist time. I just hope I'm over it by the time the kids reach High School. No need to embarrass them on their frist day of High School driving away bawling...ha ha! Can't be any worse than the time my Mom picked me up in our 1978 mini toyota motor home with bile green stripes and shag carpet, right in front of the High School while I was talking to a cute guy....total humiliation for a 15 year old right? ( the car didn't want to start that morning, but the motorhome was running! Made her drop me off a block away that morning and gave her a reminder to pick me up in the same spot) So what's a little bit of tears compared to my "embarrassed of your parents" High School horror story???
Any one want to top that story?...I'd love to hear some of these stories before we all realized the reason they did these mortifying things is because they loved us!

Oh my goodness I love that story so much. All at your expense. ;)
So happy for Lily! She's a bright girl. I just know improvements will come quickly!
My parents were plenty embarrassing. Mostly by way of their lack of interest in what was fashionable or "in" while I was growing up.
