Lily Update

I need to be better at writing down things for Lily. I always loved going back and reading the things my Mom wrote down of things I did and said as a kid. So here is a early New Years Resolution! Be better at journaling in any form, scrapbooking, blogging, writing in my own journal or Mothers journal.

Today I wanted to write down the words Lily can say now, not only to keep a record, but in her testing for pre-school they wanted to know how many she can say. I couldn't answer it! She can say a lot now and uses them constantly to communicate which is such a relief to us! Lily also said her first four word sentence this month. "Mom, wahya dowin...frog" which translates to Mom I want to go watch Princess and The Frog, her newest obsession. It was the first things she said in the morning and let me tell you after that I was awake!

Words Lily says or signs

Frog, Dog, Baby, Candy, Cake, More, Hungry, Cookie, Mom, Da, Mama, Nana, Chez (sounds more like "sha" but at least we know she is talking about the dog) Sit, Car, Go, Snow(ing) Going, Cute, Fish, Clay Dough, Movie, Please, Thank You, No, Milk, Nods for Yes, Purple, Kitty, Night Night,

I know there is more, but I can't think of them! I will just have come back and edit as I remember.

She is starting a Pre-pre school this year. It will be a specialized class suited for her needs. I'm still in total disbelief she is going to be three next month. I can now understand why my Mom always complained about us growing up to fast. Because it's so true!
She tested really well on her tests...mostly the low end of average or just below; with of course her language very low. Both of her counselors are very happy with her progress that she has made in the last 18 months. I'm also going to be very sad to lose them, they have become such good friends! especially Carol who is her main therapist, I will miss getting her advice on everything and our chats. She is almost like a second Mom to me! I couldn't of been more happier with the people we were assigned to help bring Lily to the level she is at today.

Oh Mary I am so proud of your little one! She's such a sweetheart and I love seeing you both. By the way, I still plan on having some sort of fun with you next week. We have lots to catch up on!!!
